Das Zentrum des Virgohaufens ist auch mit kleinen Teleskopen ein beeindruckendes Galaxienfeld. Es ist dort nicht selten, dass bei kleiner Vergrößerung 5 oder mehr Galaxien im Gesichtsfeld sind. Die Zeichnung ist ein Mosaik aus zwei Zeichnungen. Die erste war auf das Zentrum des Virgohaufens um M 84 und M 86 gerichtet. Die zweite fertigte ich gut ein Jahr später an und sie sollte die sich am Zentrum anschließende Markarian's Chain dokumentieren. The center of the Virgo Cluster is an impressive field also with small telescopes. It is not seldom to have 5 or even more galaxies in the same field. The drawing is a mosaic of two drawings. The first was pointed on the center around M84 and M86. The second was made about one year later, it included Markarian's Chain.
