NGC 4088:
Helle Galaxie, etwa 2:1 NO-SW elongiert, die Enden sind zigarrenartig geformt, verlängert nach Innen zeigen sie am Zentrum vorbei. Am westlichen Ende ist ein abgesetzter länglicher Knoten sichtbar. Im Zentrum ist nur eine schwache Aufhellung. Die Supernova 2009dd ist als schwacher Stern gut zu halten und erscheint leicht heller als der 13m5 Stern nördlich der Galaxie.
NGC 4088:
Bright galaxy, elongated about 2:1 NE-SW, the ends are ciggar-shaped, they are pointing tangential to the galaxy core. The western end has a separated, elongated condensation. The center itself is only a faint condensation. The supernova 2009dd is a faint star, appearing slightly bright than the 13m5 star to the north of the galaxy.
