NGC 3718: sehr hell, groß, die Galaxie hat ein rundes Zentrum, durch das ein Staubband verläuft. Die westliche Hälfte erscheint etwas heller und hat einen Knoten im Süden. Bei geringer Vergrößerung werden Spiralarme sichtbar, die sich gerade aus dem Staubband fortsetzen.
NGC 3729: recht hell, kompakt, Elongation ca. 2:1 N-S, zur Mitte heller mit einem sehr schwachen Kern . Sonst strukturlos.
UGC 6527: Hickson 56b (mitte), schwache Galaxie, rund, sehr schwacher stellarer Kern blink immer wieder auf (Seyfert I Gx!). Hellste Galaxie von HCG 56.
UGC 6527B: Hickson 56c (unten), sehr schwache Galaxie, rund, strukturlos, 2. hellste Galaxie von HCG 56
PGC 35631: Hickson 56a (oben), extremst schwache Galaxie, elongiert ca. N-S, strukturlos
NGC 3718: very bright, large, the galaxy has a round center divided by a dust lane. The western half appears slightly brighter and has a knot to the south. At low magnification faint spiral arms are visible extending straight from the dust lane.
NGC 3729: considerably bright, compact, elongated about 2:1 N-S, brighter middle with a very faint nucleus.
UGC 6527: Hickson 56b (middle), faint galaxy, round, a very faint stellar core blinks (Seyfert I Gx!), brightest member of HCG 56.
UGC 6527B: Hickson 56c (bottom), very faint galaxy, round, no details, 2nd brightest member of HCG 56.
PGC 35631: Hickson 56a (top), extremely faint, elongated N-S, no detail, 3rd brightest member of HCG 56.
