NGC 1232: Recht helle Galaxie steht aber doch recht tief. Sie erscheint sehr groß und rund. Heller zur Mitte aber kein stellarer Kern. Das Zentrum scheint nach N verlagert. Es sind keine weiteren Strukturen zu erkennen. Der Begleiter NGC 1232A erscheint extrem schwach!
NGC 1232: Pretty bright galaxy but still quiet low in the sky. It appears very large and round. Brighter toward the middle but no stellar core visible. The center appears shifted north. No further structure is visible. The companion NGC 1232A appears extremely faint!
