M 96: Helle Galaxie, elliptisches, helles Zentralgebiet mit Kern. Es ist ein Balken erkennbar, ca. O-W. Die Enden des Balkes sind etwas breiter und das SW und NO sind etwas heller. Die Gebiete im S und N sind jeweils recht schwach. Der Balken wird vom Zentrum nach außen kontinuierlich schwächer.
M 96: Bright galaxy, elliptical bright center with core. A bar is visible about E-W. The end are a little broader and the SW and NE ends are brighter. The areas in the N and S are pretty faint. The bar get smootly fainter from the center to the outside.
