M 64: Sehr helle Galaxie, das Dunkle Auge ist sehr auffällig. Die Galaxie hat eine sehr hellen, länglich-flächiges Zentrum mit Kern. Das Dunkle Auge schließt sich direkt nördlich an. Die Galaxie ist ziemlich groß und läuft diffus aus. Nordöstlich des Auges ist eine hellere Stelle, im Norden wird es dunkler.
M 64: Very bright galaxy. The Dark Eye is very prominent. The galaxy has a very bright, oblong-extended center with a core. The Dark Eye lies direct north of it. The galaxy is pretty large and fades to the sky. Northeasr of the Eye is a brighter spot, the galaxy is fainter in the north.
