NGC 40: Jeweils nur geringe Reaktion auf H-Beta und [OIII] Filter. Heller PN. Erscheint erst rund, dann aber leicht elongiert SW-NO.
Mit Hβ: Ringstruktur sichbar, mit der hellsten Stelle im Westen. Dort erscheint er etwas breiter. Im S ist der Ring recht schmal. Diffus auslaufend Richtung SW.
Mit [OIII] Filter ist der PN deutlich weniger strukturiert. Er erscheint lediglich im SW etwas heller. Zentralstern ist auch noch mit Filtern sichtbar.
NGC 40: Only slight response on H-Beta and [OIII] Filter. Bright PN, appears at first round, but with a closer look it appears slightly elongated SW-NE.
With Hβ filter: Ringstructure is visible, the brightest part is in the W. It is slightly thicker. The ring is pretty thin in the south. Diffuse towards SW.
With [OIII] filter the PN has clearly less structures. It appears only brighter in the SW. The central star is visible also with both filters.
